WestWind Welcomes Senior Minister

Reverend Casey Tanguay

WestWind plans to welcome our new Senior Minister on her first Sunday, August 25, 2019. She comes to us from First Christian Church, Garland, Texas, where she has held the position of Minister to Families and Professionals for the past 5 years.

She achieved a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School and was ordained in the Christian Church in 2014. She has 8 years experience as a youth minister, and recently 5 years as Minister to Professionals and Families.

Casey has been married for 13 years to Andrew Tanguay. They have two children, Asher, an 8-year-old boy; and Eliza, a 4-year-old girl.

She achieved a BS in Nursing from TCU in 2006 and has worked full or part time as an Oncology Registered Nurse for 12+ years.

The WestWind Search Team felt that Casey was the best candidate from a set of many candidates due to her enthusiasm, openness and experience. Her focus is on the things we have isolated as critical to our future such as ministry to youth and families; and involvement in the local community. She believes that an open and welcoming Lord’s Table is central to theology and practice of faith.
